Job Description – Programme & Project Officer

Job Summary: The Continental Programme & Project Officer plays a crucial role in supporting
the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of various programmes and projects
within the Directorate of Strategy & Mission. Working with the Director of Strategy & Mission,
the post-holder collaborates with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure the
successful delivery of programmes and projects, in alignment with RCCG’s vision and mission.
Specifically, the Continental Programme & Project Officer ensures that strategic and missional
initiatives such as FREGH and others like it are delivered within scope, schedule and budget.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning Support
• Assist with the development of programme and project plans, timelines, and
budgets, in collaboration with the Director of Strategy & Mission.
• Coordinate programme and project activities such as FREGH conferences,
seminars, workshops, and training, ensuring alignment with RCCG Europe
Continent’s missional objectives.
2. Administration Support
• Provide administrative support on programmes and projects involving the
Directorate, including preparation of plans, documents, and correspondence.
• Assist with maintaining databases and documentation relating to programmes and
projects undertaken by the Directorate of Strategy & Mission.

3. Resource Management
• Assist with managing programme and project resources, including volunteers,
budgets, materials and equipment.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective use of
allocated programme and project resources.
4. Risk Management & Quality Assurance
• Identify potential programme and project risks and create risk mitigation strategies,
whilst also acting proactively to ensure success, where required.
• Ensure that the quality standards for programme and project deliverables are
adhered to, thereby ensuring compliance with requirements.
5. Monitoring and Evaluation
• Implement monitoring and evaluation processes to assess programme and project
performance and impact.
• Collect and analyse programme and project data to inform decision-making and
ensure continuous improvement.
6. Documentation and Reporting
• Maintain accurate and detailed programme and project documentation.
• Prepare regular programme and project reports for our stakeholders, particularly
the Continental Overseer and the senior leadership of RCCG Europe Continent.
7. Communication and Advocacy
• Communicate creatively to promote the alignment of programmes and projects
with the overall mission and values of RCCG Europe Continent.
• Advocate for programme and project objectives, facilitating outcomes within
RCCG Europe Continent.
8. Stakeholder Engagement
• Support the cultivation of strong relationships with internal and external
stakeholders, regarding programmes and projects delivered by the Directorate.
• Share programme and project progress effectively to all relevant parties, as needed.
9. Any Other Duty
• The Continental Programme & Project Officer may be asked to attend appropriate
internal meetings, external events and other engagements, when required.
• Other duties assigned by the Continental Overseer and / or the Mission authority.
Qualification and Skills: Degree in Programme Management, Project Management, Business
Administration, Law, Engineering, or related fields, and/or demonstrable experience managing
projects in a European setting.
