Job Description – HR Assistant

 

JOB SUMMARY: The HR Assistant will perform a wide range of human
resources functions. Their duties include recruiting, assisting in the training of new
employees. HR Assistants also help plan programs and processes designed to
improve employee welfare. They manage payroll updates, maintain vital employee
records and ensure the smooth operations of the HR department.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
• Assisting with the process of recruitment, issuing employment contracts and
onboarding,
• Supporting internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR
department
• Compiling and maintaining paper, digital and electronic employee records,
including holiday, absences and sickness leaves
• Processing payroll and assisting with the documentation of employee
compensation and benefits
• Supporting HR-related training programs, workshops and seminars
• Entering employee data into computer database
• Coordinating logistics for new hire orientations
• Writing and submitting reports on general HR activities
• Overseeing HR events and meetings and coordinating managementemployee communications
• Continuously learn the latest HR best practices to improve workplace
efficiency
• Cover the front of house when necessary
• Any other duties relevant to the office
Requirements and skills
• Proven experience as an HR Assistant or any relevant human
resources/administrative position
• Fast computer typing skills (MS Office, in particular)
• Basic knowledge of UK Employment law
• Excellent organisational skills
• Strong communications skills
• Degree in Human Resources or related field
2. Organisation
• To ensure the objectives in the Department are achieved within the mission
statement of RCCG Head Office.
• To maintain high standards of professionalism and accountability within RCCG
Head Office.
• To work collaboratively with other members of staff within RCCG Head Office.
• To attend RCCG Head Office and other meetings as required.
• To exercise responsibilities under Health and Safety legislation.
• To undertake other duties commensurate with the post and the needs of the
Office.
• To act at all times in accordance with the aims, policies and guidelines of the
Office.
• To ensure you maintain confidentiality at all times as required in this role
