Job Description – Continental Youth Officer

Job Summary: The Continental Youth Officer plays a pivotal role in developing and
implementing programmes, projects, and initiatives aimed at nurturing the spiritual growth,
strategic engagement, leadership development and holistic progress of our youth and young adults.
The post-holder is responsible for the coordination of Continental youth activities, in collaboration
with Continental and Regional Youth leaders, as well as the senior leadership of RCCG Europe.
The Continental Youth Officer fosters a sense of belonging amongst our youth and young adults
(YAYA) across the Regions by facilitating an inclusive and vibrant youth ministry continentally.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Spiritual Growth
• Facilitate the spiritual growth of youth and young adults in RCCG Europe by
supporting relevant Continental discipleship programmes and prayer sessions.
• Collaborate with Regions within RCCG Europe and their youth ministries to
integrate spiritual formation of young people and young adults into their activities.
2. Youth Programme Development
• Design and implement approved comprehensive Continental programmes for
youth and young adult programmes, aligned with RCCG’s mission and values.
• Liaise with the Regions in RCCG Europe Continent to develop engaging and
spiritually enriching activities, events and projects, where possible and appropriate.

3. Leadership Development
• Identify and cultivate emerging youth leaders within RCCG Europe Continent.
• Facilitate mentorship, training, and other leadership development opportunities for
our youth and young adults in RCCG Europe.
4. Youth Church Planting and Growth
• Support the delivery of our Continental Youth Church Planting strategies and
report on such Youth Church Growth records across RCCG Europe.
• Collaborate with the Regions in RCCG Europe Continent to support their
strategies for the growth of Youth-led churches.
5. Event Planning and Coordination
• Plan, coordinate and deliver the Continental Youth Convention, Continental youth
conferences, retreats, and similar youth activities across RCCG Europe.
• Support RCCG Europe Continent Regions with the planning, coordination, and
delivery of Regional youth events, where appropriate.
6. Communication and Advocacy
• Communicate effectively and creatively with our youth members through various
channels, including social media, newsletters, and direct engagement.
• Advocate for the needs and perspectives of RCCG Europe Continent’s youth and
young adults within the Continental decision-making processes.
7. Collaboration with Stakeholders
• Work closely with relevant internal stakeholders within RCCG Europe Continent
to facilitate integration of youth initiatives within our broad organisational strategy.
• Collaborate with Regional Offices within RCCG Europe Continent to promote
consistency and effectiveness of youth programmes and projects.
8. Data Management and Reporting
• Maintain accurate records of Continental youth and young adult participation and
engagement within RCCG Europe.
• Compile and prepare regular Reports on the impact of youth programmes and
projects for the attention of our leadership in RCCG Europe Continent.
9. Any Other Duty
• The Continental Youth Officer may be asked to attend appropriate internal
meetings, external events and other engagements, when required.
• Other duties assigned by the Continental Overseer and / or the Mission authority.
Qualification and Skills: Degree in Youth Ministry, Leadership, or a related field, and/or
demonstrable passion for youth ministry and service in related roles in a European church setting.
