Brilliant opportunity for a results driven, natural and motivated individual to join an award winning Dance Company based in Birmingham, UK.
Responsible for the business development aspects of the business. A hybrid role focused on business development, financial management and bidwriting for the companies engagement and participatory experiences.
Key responsibilities:
• Work with the Director to deliver funding and partnership proposals. Including proof reading and drafting sections of proposals and cashflows. Experience of working on funding applications or bid writing experience is desired.
• Overseeing budgets and ensuring project delivery is met
• Writing interim reports and evaluations
• Proof reading and amending policies and contracts, paying close attention to details to ensure our needs are met and that all eventualities are covered, experience working with freelancers and using freelance contracts is desired.
• Monitoring cashflow and ensuring project is delivered in line with income
• Key liaison between partners, clients and the company
• Business development including contacting and negotiating with new stakeholders
• Produce Marketing materials including posters, flyers, social media content
• Overseeing project timeframes and ensuring deadlines are met
• Attend programme and partner meetings as required
• Keep track of project progression using management tools and excel sheets
• Updating contact lists, planning and implementation of communications
• Induct participants and free lance artists
• Project Management duties as and when required
Essential:
• Birmingham or at least West Midlands based
• Results driven
• Experience working in a similar role
• Excellent knowledge of the UKs Arts and Culture scene
• Excellent communicator, including written and spoken English
• Abilities in sales and pitching
• Ability to work under time pressure
• Experience managing teams
• Experience in managing and growing on and off line communities
• Good knowledge of developing public engagement projects
• Experience with live event planning, including all aspects of the event from: initial conception to planning, to contract negotiations to activities on the day and beyond.
• Clever problem-solver who can thoughtfully anticipate needs, uses good judgment and is resourceful
• Ability to execute against defined objectives and communicate the results clearly and effectively to wider team and other stakeholders.
• Project and budget management skills.
• Ability to lead and strategically define schedule and delivery.
• Support and promote a culture of innovation and equity.
This is a free – lance position starting immediately with a trial period.
Days and Fee:
1 – 1.5 Days per week £600 per month
This is a flexible remote role, with options on which hours and days you work. You will need your own laptop, internet connection and phone.
