Flex Technologies is a growing e-commerce company based in the UK with main markets in batteries, solar panels and biomass fuels for domestic heating.
Financial analyst/accountant required to undertake the following tasks on a scheduled basis (normally weekly)
– adjust transport invoices to include fuel surcharge in delivery cost
– check supplier invoices against approved rate card; identify abnormalities
– take arriving stock on the books and revalue stock in Xero, allocating shipping cost and customs costs
– produce a gross margin report by order
– other tasks to assist the manager in closing books correctly and promptly
– ultimately, suggesting areas to cut costs and improve financial performance
Some tasks will ultimately be automated but we have plenty to work available for a motivated, critically thinking applicant. This is a great opportunity to learn about a growing, important industry.

Requirements:
– knowledge of accounting principles
– applicants with accounting or finance degree or certifications preferred
– knowledge of Xero, Google Sheets and Excel
– ability to think and work independently
– reliability – reports to be produced weekly
– able to communicate appropriately with suppliers, ideally by phone in English and at a minimum by email
– strong written English is a requirement. Fluency in spoken English preferred
– candidates with all levels of work experience considered
